Who are we?

The IAM is a national organisation based in London. It was founded in 1956. Its aims are to improve road safety and to raise driving standards. The main way it does this is by running the Advanced Driving Test. It currently has over 100,000 members, all of whom have passed the test. It has been approved by the Government’s Driving Standards Agency as a provider of advanced driving tests.

Forth Valley Group
is one of over 200 local Groups affiliated to the IAM. We exist to further the aims of the IAM in the Forth Valley area. The main way we do this is by offering help to become an advanced driver as a preparation for taking the IAM test. We also produce a Newsletter 10 times a year and run a programme of meetings and other events. At present we have over 160 members.

We normally hold meetings in Stirling but can arrange observed drives from a wide range of locations spread across the Stirling , Falkirk and Clackmannan areas.
