Who can join?

We welcome any driver who holds a full licence and would like to improve their driving to advanced standard.

We are happy to help men and women of any age: from those who have only recently passed the ordinary test to those who have been driving for years.

We accept members from anywhere in the Stirling, Falkirk and Clackmannan areas. We are also happy to accept you if you live elsewhere but find it more convenient to come to us than go to a neighbouring Group. Contact details of our neighbouring Groups, in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Fife and Perth are available from the IAM.

We do not offer preparation for the advanced motorcycle test but there are nearby Groups that do. There are also tests for commercial vehicle drivers, a caravan towing test and Minibus test. If you wish to take any of these tests, please contact our Membership Secretary.

All the observed drives and the test are done in your own car. It does not matter what sort of car you have as long as it has at least two seats and is roadworthy. The car can have any type of transmission.
